We are very excited about the blog for our company, AMS! As you can tell from our website, our focus is on hospital gainsharing programs, and we will try to cover that topic thoroughly. We have learned over the years that for a gainsharing program to be successful it must be integrated with other activities at the
hospital, such as performance improvement, shared savings programs, population health, ACOs, etc. So we are not going to limit our comments to gainsharing. As we work with leading healthcare organizations around the country we hear lots of interesting ideas. We constantly look at the literature to see what is new and innovative. We thought that a blog would be the best way to get information to people quickly and without a lot of filters. We believe that by freely sharing and exchanging ideas and best practices – the things we live by and work with our clients – we can best make a positive impact on healthcare.
